omg as i can see the shard is down again, i just ot home and tried to log in and this, someone must have had an un fixed merc out afk training? what a bummer this is

The last couple of crashes with it are due to me renaming some of the girls for our female staff and there was more to the changes than I had originally thought. Those are now fixed and it's been run 4-5 times without problem now so hopefully I've gotten the issues fixed. Yesterday I was at work and that means it had to wait til I was back home to it was down and fix it.
If Deal/No Deal continues to be an issue then I'll be removing it if it's not a quick fix but I'd like to give it a chance since many do like to play that game. The shard is running in debug mode so I can find any issues quickly and fix them etc. when I'm home.

The server host is undergoing 'emergency server maintenance' so their connectivity is having issues. I've taken that time, when I can get connected to it, to update windows and restart the server at the same time. So the shard is back up but looks like no one can connect to it yet, including me, due to their maintence. Hopefully it'll be done soon.

back up and if anyone has any ideas as to the cause, pm me in game please, it's not mercs for once, lol... I know what line of what script caused it, I'm just asking if anyone knows what was going on in game at the time... thanks  |

seemed to have crashed so it's taking me a few minutes to get other computer started up so I can log onto the server and see what is up... my connection is slow cause I'm also running some software updates so... it may be a few minutes but I'm working on it right now

I'm having horrendous lag but it's not just on the shard, think it's my internet connection... but I did restart the server and shard after doing it's windows update so it's back up and should be ok... we'll see.

Ok we all seem to be having mass lag and disconnets. I am having the same issues and when I go to log onto the server itself, it doesn't connect or stay connected if I can get that far. It's something at that end, If I can get onto it long enough, I plan to restart it but that is no guarantee of a fix. The server is in Los Angeles and it is a Sunday which could mean more issues cause of line use. Hopefully this is short lived and they are working on it there.

I've looked, the server hasn't been down, looking at the console, it's up and has had people on it. I've gone ahead and restarted it so see if helps clear up connection issues. Everyone has to remember that individual internet providers, weather, how busy the lines are etc all play a factor. The server is located in Los Angeles so those same things affect their network as well. Sorry for the issues, hopefully it's over but those same things will probably affect it in the future.

quick reminder since most probably are not aware of it, the server does an automatic restart every two days, early in the morning Pacific time. You can use [nextrestart in game to see when the next one will be.

merc yet again... i've done a lot of script fixes to cut down the merc shard crashing and yet it continues to happen... just not as often...
however any merc shard crash is too much especially when it's because a player doesn't take proper care of their merc... amazing to see how many young, brand new players have mercs, some already fully trained, wow where did that come from?!?.... and not even told how to get their commands, feed them, dress them etc... here have a pet and have fun learning how to use it... oh and don't blame the new pet owner if their pet crashes the shard ruining everyone elses' game play too

Well it wasn't the mercs this time and there is no crash log... so it looks like the server end is where the problem was... they maybe had power issue, network issue or something since I logged in and shard was not even running on the server. I'm out of town so we were on the road yesterday evening when it went down, should be back up now.
