I restarted the client because I was getting a lot of lag, when I tried to reconnect to the shard I kept getting stuck at Verifying Account... It does it every time... I can't log on!!

this post is a little old, but incase your still having problems, it could be a few reasons for doing so...
if you was getting lag to begin with, its possible its just your connection try resetting your connection and trying again
(ways to reset connection)
If your using Dial UP (56k) just reconnect
DSL and NOT behind a router, unplug your dsl modems power cord for 3-5 minutes, turn off your pc, and replug the power cord into the DSL modem, turn pc back on and try again.
If using DSL and a Router, unplug dsl modem, and then router power cables for 3-5 minutes, turning off pc aswell, after 3-5 minutes, plug the modem in first, then the router, then turn pc back on and try again...
If using a cable modem, do the same thing you would for dsl modem, aswell if your using a router....
(even if problem is solved already someone else may need this kind of help)
If youve made some recent changes to your client or razor (if you use razor) then it could be incompatible with the server, if the above mentioned didnt work, first (if you use razor, if your using the old version try new version, if your using new try old) if that doesnt work, uninstall and reinstall your UO client, but DO NOT patch past the patch version the server requires....
if none of this works, contact the server owner or admin, and see if some how your ip or account got blocked
