It has been discovered that anyone that has patched their client to version 6.0.14.2 and higher will NOT BE ABLE to log on. It stays stuck as 'Connecting' and then disconnects you. On the console it shows you logging in up to the char selection then disconnecting you.
This has been tested by more than one person, thanks to those who tested it for us.
This means you need to:
1. Not patch that far to play here.
2. Make a copy of your UO program folder, one for patching all the way if you play OSI shards and one to not patch as far for Dark Crusaders. Then need to set your connecting program to the correct client location.
3. Reinstall your UO if you already patched that far or get an older client.exe version from someone else to replace the new one (back-up new one first in someother location if you need it later.)
I have had several people contacting me in the forum saying they can not get on and that is probaly the reason why, patched too far. Some change in OSI patching at that point is incompatable.

Hi Sindris, glad to see ya  I figured that your having problems with the client, we're not deleting your account for inactivity. Let me know when on messenger, can send you a slighter older client that you can use to connect through if want. The shard is running 6.0.13.0 now and there is a fix for running 6.0.14.2 but I have to look into it more cause I've heard that older clients can not connect with the fix. Have some testing to do on that yet, lol. Later |

I am having same prob I had to redo my total game through Ultima and reload game..now I have just Styg loaded at 7.07. I would love to play here but..... i am not good at exchanging this and that..this is how my game got mixed up in first place idk what to do. I hate to leave shard but..what to do?

I prefer to Use ConnectUO to connect to DC. WHOO HOOO newer clients can now connect, thank you very much to the lady who made the needed changes to allow that... there are a few things not quite working right, we'll be testing modifications for those in the next day or two, please be patient, ty |

Everything is running smoothly which is awesome If anyone notices anything not quite working right, please let us know in game or here on forum so it can be looked into. The shard is still running with 6.0.13.0 maps etc so there is a hole in Moonglow that newer clients do not see, so yes some appear to walk underground right there... is a minor thing and I don't plan on making map changes for that. W hat happens to the gates in umbre Hi Tinker The gates missing in umbra gate area were removed, has nothing to do with the client change. All of those spots are in the travel book... The remaining gates, except for the hue gate which has a warning sign with it, are not in the travel book. Thanks, have a good one |
